COVID-19 Update

Travel Information

We take standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are taking steps to ensure the safety of our guests and associates. We have been closely monitoring the information and statements published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19). On a daily basis, our hotels are working to ensure that they meet the latest guidance on hygiene and cleaning practices.

We are committed to doing everything we can to make your stay at all of our properties as comfortable and as safe; therefore, we have implemented new protocols in standards of cleanliness and health safety.

We are in constant communication with our employees to reinforce our sanitization safety procedures in both guest-facing and back-of-house areas. We are sanitizing high-traffic public areas at an increased frequency.

Guest Rooms: Hotels use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with particular attention paid to high-touch items.

Public Spaces: Hotels have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in public spaces, with a focus on the counter at the front desk, elevators (and elevator buttons), door handles, public bathrooms and even room keys.

Back of House: All departments have implemented hand washing or sanitizing procedures to take place multiple times during the employee's shift. In the areas where associates work “behind the scenes,” hotels are increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas like associate entrances, locker room, laundry rooms and staff offices. Employees are instructed to wash hands before and after eating and before returning to a work area.

All 1859 Historic Hotels employees are prohibited from reporting to work with a respiratory illness that can be transmitted to others.

We want you to enjoy your stay with us. We assure you our staff will be attentive to your needs and unremitting so you can enjoy your time at any of our hotels.

Best Regards,
